Directions to Camp Oneka

CAUTION: We suggest that you follow the directions on this page. We have found internet maps and directions and GPS directions to be less than accurate.

FROM THE PHILADELPHIA AREA: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to the Northeast Extension and proceed to the Allentown exit, Route 22 (I-78). Go east on Route 22 (I-78 turns off) to Route 33,
north. Take 33 north and when 33 branches off to the left above Snydersville, keep to the right (Route 209) heading for Stroudsburg. When you reach I-80, go east on I-80 to the exit for Marshall’s Creek.
Exit and stay on Route 209 into Marshall’s Creek. At the light, turn right and immediately keep left for a left turn at the next light (very soon!) Turn left at the light, Route 402. As soon as you turn and cross a small bridge, Route 402 turns to the right. Take Route 402 for about 25 miles to I-84. You will cross over I-84 on the bridge and turn left on I-84 west. Go to the next exit for Route 390, Tafton, and Promised Land State Park. Exit and at the end of the ramp; turn  right onto Route 390 north. Stay on Route 390, north, for three miles. Camp Oneka is on the left side. The entrance is just past the sign between two stone pillars.

FROM PHILADELPHIA (CENTER CITY) AND SOUTH JERSEY: Take I-95 north to exit for Route 31 north (Pennington, N.J.). Go 45 miles north to Route 46. Turn left on Route 46 to I-80. Take I-80 west, across the bridge, to the second exit in Pennsylvania: Marshall’s Creek, and proceed as above.

ALL 4-LANE HIGHWAY FROM PHILADELPHIA AREA: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to the Northeast Extension and proceed north (100 miles) to I-81. Take I-81 north to I-84 east. Proceed on I-84 east (25 miles) to exit 26 for Route 390, Tafton, and Promised Land State Park. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left on Route 390 north. Proceed as above.

FROM WASHINGTON, DC: Take I-95 to I-695 and use I-695 to go around to the west of Baltimore. Take I-83 north to I-81 north and continue: proceed as above.

FROM SOUTH AND CENTRAL JERSEY SHORE AREAS: Take the Garden State Parkway to Route 440. Take Route 440 west to I-287. Proceed on I-287 north to Route 206. Take Route 206 north to I-80 west. Proceed
as above.

FROM NEW YORK CITY: Take I-80 west and proceed as above. From north of New York City, take I-84 west, and proceed as above.

FROM CENTRAL NEW JERSEY: Proceed to I-78 west. Take I-78 west to Route 33 north. Proceed as above.

FROM THE WEST: Use the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76). About 25 miles east of Harrisburg, take exit for  Lebanon and I-81 north. Take I-81 north and proceed as above.
